The following terms and conditions apply to all online payments made to Tantithaiya Gram Panchayat (hereinafter "Gram Panchayat") by the citizens/taxpayers. All citizens using the online payment facility (hereinafter "User") are requested to read these terms carefully before making an online payment. By using the online payment facility on this portal, the User accepts these terms and conditions:
The Gram Panchayat is only providing a link to the authorized Payment Gateway Service Provider, which enables Users to pay online for taxes, fees, and other Gram Panchayat charges.
If any Payment Gateway Service Provider or Bank imposes taxes, service charges, or other fees over and above the Gram Panchayat’s charges, such costs shall be borne entirely by the User. The Gram Panchayat shall be indemnified from any such claims.
The User agrees to indemnify and hold the Gram Panchayat harmless against all claims, losses, damages, and actions related to the online payment gateway. Neither the Gram Panchayat nor any of its employees or officials shall be liable for any such loss or damage suffered by the User as a result of using this facility.
The information and data provided during the online transaction will be used solely for the purpose of recording the payment and sending intimation/receipts. The Gram Panchayat will take all reasonable precautions to ensure confidentiality and will not disclose the information to third parties, except where required by law.
Payments may take a minimum of one working day to reach the Gram Panchayat’s account. Users must take this into account when making payments.
All payments will be processed based on the information provided by the User. The Gram Panchayat will not accept liability for payments applied incorrectly due to User error or other reasons beyond its control. Users will be given an opportunity to review the data entered before submission.
Once payment is confirmed online, the User will be given a reference/transaction number. This number should be quoted in any future correspondence about the payment.
Online payments are subject to risks inherent in internet-based transactions. Even if the payment is processed successfully by the Payment Gateway Provider, the information may not be received by the Gram Panchayat. In such cases, the transaction will be treated as failed, and a refund/settlement will be initiated after reconciliation. Users are advised to make payments well before the due date to avoid penalties.
In case of refunds, the time taken for credit will depend on the bank and may vary. The Gram Panchayat has no control over such timelines, and Users should contact their respective bank for details.
The Internet is susceptible to cybercrimes such as phishing, vishing, SMS fraud, and compromise of the User’s system security. While the Gram Panchayat will endeavor to safeguard User interests, it cannot guarantee protection against such risks. Users should avoid making transactions from cybercafés or shared computers.
The User must enter complete, accurate, and correct details while making payment (e.g., property number, name, contact number, email). Incorrect entries may result in payments being credited to the wrong account or receipts sent to the wrong address, with no guarantee of recovery. The User indemnifies the Gram Panchayat for any loss due to their own error.
The Gram Panchayat’s online payment service may be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues, which may delay or prevent processing of payment instructions. The Gram Panchayat disclaims all liability for any losses arising from such unavailability.
The Gram Panchayat shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from the decline of authorization for any transaction, including cases where the User’s card limit has been exceeded.
The Gram Panchayat reserves the right to amend or supplement these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
The Gram Panchayat shall not be liable for delays or failures to perform obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural calamities, war, strikes, lockouts, network failures, or government actions.
All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat, and governed by the laws of India.
